After you are given an introduction to the story, you are then sent out on your own to start completing missions. Bringing up the in-game map shows locations of buildings, missions, people you know and even rival gangs that may be a threat or a danger to you.

Grand Theft Auto immerses players into an open-ended sandbox world, where players are free to do what they please. Playing Grand Theft Auto somewhat mimics everyday life, with added violence and gore. Each Grand Theft Auto game from the franchise includes a completely original story, which must be completed to unlock weapons, ammo and houses that are available to purchase.

Although it is not necessary to play through the story in Grand Theft Auto, you will not make any progress or unlock any other items until you begin partaking in available missions. In the newest version of Grand Theft Auto, it is now possible to visit cyber cafes to "surf the Interet," and your character is fully equipped with his own smartphone, which can be used to call cabs, your virtual girlfriend or even a hit man.

Additionally, customization options have also increased, along with the variety of homes and properties for sale. The graphics in the newest Grand Theft Auto are near perfect, with smooth animations and crystal clear pixels.

Cons of Grant Theft Auto

Although Grand Theft Auto is not visually stunning, the graphics can cause the game to lag significantly, most often on computers not capable of handling the power the game requires, depending on the version you own. If you are not a fan of gore and blood, Grand Theft Auto is not the game for you.
